AMERICAN WEDDING (2023)
These photographs represent my interpretation of Frank Ocean’s song “American Wedding”, on his mixtape Nostalgia, Ultra. This song describes a love between two young adults which starts in marriage and ends in divorce. It comments on the “American Dream” that many are accustomed to.
THE DAY AFTER THE NIGHT (2023)
These photographs were taken after a Saturday night, one where the streets of Lexington, KY run wild. It replicates the “calm after the storm” saying. It shows a calm Sunday, with remnants of the chaos from the night before.
COLORPOP (2023)
I used various light sources (color changing led lights, lamps, led lights) to express my meaning of color through an image.
